Keystone 222 series “Lug” Style Butterfly Valves offer the same great features and construction as the Series 221 Wafer Style above, except the “Lug” Style bodies are drilled and tapped. This allows for the isolation and removal of downstream piping at full-rated pressure (up to 250 PSI). The valve features EPDM seats (Buna is also available with 304 SS discs) and locking handles with a 10-position notched plate.
The Keystone 221 series butterfly valve features a bonded seat that fully isolates all valve body components from the liquid, ensuring reliable protection. Its rounded, polished disc and hub are designed to achieve precise concentric seating without interfering with the seat, which helps maximize the seat’s lifespan. This design provides a bubble-tight shut-off. The body of the valve offers locating holes to easily install and center the valve between 150 lb. flanges.
Note: These valves have a molded-in resilient non-replaceable seat; suitable for full vacuum applications.
